Where to begin...

Sign-up or sign-in on our full website, then click the MEMBERSHIP option to enroll in the pricing plan of your choice. Be sure to check the calendar section to see when to sign-up and the roster page to see if there's still room for your particular grade level.

If you're signing up in the summer time, be sure to list the grade your kid will be in once school starts back up in Fall. As for the grade levels we display on our site, we upgrade each player's grade level in January so that we can get a head start on playing the higher grade level once summer arrives. Challenging players is what we do.
Yes. You may always join an event at the listed price, and you may even join one workout FOR FREE by using promo code "TRYOUT". We also have an array of prepaid package offers you can view after signing-in. Keep in mind that we do have limits for each team, however, and you may miss-out on an opportunity to join if you wait too long.
Business-wise, we're insane for offering a program that has this many days for this low of a price. We believe too few would pay the necessary $5,000/year to make it work, however, so we rely strongly on donations to help us survive while charging our current $1,500/yr price tag. With that said... we only offer one scholarship per grade, and it's given to the hardest worker and/or the most talented player we can find. We believe if you're gonna get something for free, you should be willing to work harder than most everyone else to receive it. See our TRYOUTS page for details.
Because our goal is to focus on our current members rather than inundate ourselves with constantly recruiting and convincing outside players to join our program, we do things on an annual basis. The lowered cost affords you an opportunity to easily take months off, however, so that you're not losing out on the actual value of your membership. If you're a potential customer who feels slighted by this approach, know that our current customers are everything to us and that we promise to treat you just as special once you become a member.

About our events

Yes, we play games most every weekend throughout the entire year. Our local teams play against low competition for their grade level, while our elite travel team plays up in grade level against some of the most talented players in the country. The reason the games aren't listed on our site is because we must wait for the league organizers to deliver us our schedule. They usually do so 2 days to 2 weeks prior. Every league and tournament has its faults, but our goal is to perpetually adapt.
We can't add the games to the site until the event organizers give us the schedule. On their end, they're waiting for enough teams to sign up, and even then they have to handle a great deal of requests and schedule complaints. The other teams have to deal with players who have other sports and events scheduled, so they must also work everything out prior to signing-up. Overall, league schedules are usually given out a few days prior for the first two weeks of each season and then the remaining 5 weeks is given out after that. For tournaments, we'll usually know our schedules 2-3 days prior. Thank you for your patience, and I appreciate the example set by your willingness to adapt.
Well, that's most definitely the master plan. Once we raise enough revenue, we'd like to own our own gym. In the meantime, we rent gyms that belong to others and we play in games hosted by others. Even the gyms we rent won't allow us to monopolize the venue, so we pay between $30-$80 per hour to an array of entities to have one of the only programs in the country that provides 7 days/week. We will always do whatever is in our power to best serve you.
Our primary objective is to one day have a program where the booking system is a thing of the past. We hope to eventually have fewer players paying a higher yearly rate who show up to most every event throughout the year without fail. In the meantime - to create a program that's flexible - we must add extra kids on each team to drive down the costs and to increase the likelihood of having enough kids for each event. So that we don't overpack any event or location, we need to know who's planning to show. If you feel that having so many players per team is too many *AND* you feel that your kid playing year-round is too demanding, realize you've inadvertently created a paradox in which you can never be truly satisfied. Furthermore, in regard to booking each event, we also need a list of people expecting to partake should we have to contact everyone at the last-second for any gym changes or cancellations. All in all, we need this program as organized as can be so that we're able to provide for your kids to the best of our abilities. Thank you for your patience with the system, and for respecting the families within our program in such a selfless, humble way.

The philosophy of it all

We've all gotta start somewhere! And believe me, many of our players are working hard to catch up to a slew of others as well. Chances are, the talented players you've seen started off from your exact spot. Know that life is a marathon, and don't miss the opportunity to teach your kids the difference between the perils of wanting instant gratification and the impulse-control benefits of working hard towards a long-term goal. The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the second best time is NOW.
We don't believe in forcing anyone to put forth more effort than they're willing and able, but we do attempt to provide that for those who are ready. We highly recommend playing multiple sports early on, but we do suggest that you keep your current favorite sport going throughout the year on the off-days. As a parent, we feel if you don't provide this opportunity early on that you are - indeed - forcing them to be behind should they ever choose to want to play the sport at a higher level later on. With other cities getting better so early as well, we must keep pace so that our kids may have a choice.

Visit our PSYCHOLOGY section to understand our methodology in how we gently persuade players to actualize their full potential.

If kids still played outside these days, how many hours per day would you allow your kid to play outside? If you'd like, you can see us as that option. And realize these three things: 1) We're only one hour per day, 2) Everything we do is optional, and 3) You'd never fear a kid "burning out" if they're merely playing with their friends. The only difference here is the pressure placed on them by everyone in their lives... So know that we will try do our part to not impose those pressures, and we implore you to do the same.
The workouts are tough because we believe in the kids, and it's our desire to combine hard work with their current passion so that they're more likely to be passionate about their hard work as an adult. We make learning to enjoy hard work a fun process. We find the limit of your comfort zone, and we help you take a step or two beyond it. Then once that discomfort becomes comfortable, we push a little further. We continue this cycle until exiting your comfort zone becomes a truly enjoyable habit. The rewards of this strategy are high, but the actual process can be extremely frustrating at first.

We work like the NBA is our goal, even for those who don't have that goal as a possibility. If the NBA is the 100 mark, we know that we can add 50 points to anyone's skill set if they show up a ton and work hard while there. Just know that most players don't start at 50. Your only concern should be getting the extra 50 points, regardless of how some may be able to get further with less effort. Regardless of how parents might say it's a waste of time because you weren't at 40 or 50 to begin with. We feel that the player who started at 20 and got to 70 got more out of the sport than the player who started at 50 and only got to 80. Because it's not a contest of who was blessed with the most; it's a contest of who can do more with what they're blessed with.
Our attempt is to have enough integrity and know-how to be honest when we say we offer everything you need to be as great as you'd like to become. Most other programs lie in this regard, as they succumb to the reality of not being able to afford enough gym time or by not being able to train their players as hard and as well as they ought to. We could merely scrimmage the kids to make them happy, but we teach them even if they're initially dismayed. We charge the same as other teams, while we also offer 3 times more events. We sacrifice absolutely everything at an amazingly low fee to get this done, and we have absolutely no regrets.

Furthermore, winning games isn't our primary goal. Since one can always find a better (or worse) team to play against, we judge the players on how they've applied our 12 game focuses throughout that particular game. From defensive rebounding to cutting hard to being patient, we rate them on these aspects rather than on the score and we'd appreciate each parent doing the same. There are games we'll win that will be considered bad games and there are games we'll lose that will be considered good games. Pleasing parents with wins will eventually lessen the competition we face, and that is the worst way to truly improve. We sincerely thank you for your patience, intellect, and foresight in this regard.

The random stuff

Of course! We see every player as a BASKETBALL PLAYER, and we have many girls in our program at every skill level compete amongst our boys and boys around the area and country. The girls in our program's history have all been wildly successful because of this mindset and their hard work.

We can't (yet) control the rules of outside tournaments, however, so we can't allow girls on our Elite Team whether they make the cut or not. But know that our local teams welcome you with open arms.
Great! Since we go most every day of the week, feel free to show up when you can throughout the year. Whenever you're ready to dedicate a season to basketball, we'll be here for you. There's too much to gain from playing multiple sports to simply just play a single sport. We tell our players, however, that they should choose a sport as their primary sport and then sprinkle the many others around that main sport if they truly desire to excel to certain heights. To prepare for this inevitability, we add a few extra players to each roster. So know that there are times when the teams are rather packed, but it's due to this extremely important allowance.
Emails are sent to members at noon each day should there be an update within the 24 hours prior. To receive immediate updates, however, you must get twitter. It was not only the cheapest solution for us, but it was also the best and most efficient choice. You may add other family members easily on your own, it's really easy for us to send stuff on the fly, and it works on every device. If you're attempting to avoid social media, the easy answer is to just control yourself and don't follow anyone besides us. Just act like we built the platform just for you, and then ignore the extras the site has to offer. If you still refuse, then please accept the several frustrating instances that may pop up throughout the year that will leave you out the loop on practices being canceled, game locations being changed, special events added to our schedule, etc.
It's a stylized version of the word FIFTY made into an ambigram that can be turned upside-down to still spell the same word. It's meant to invoke the feelings of belonging to a secret club, and is meant to look like the emblem of a superhero. Click here to check out various versions of our logos. We're called 50 All-Stars because our main focus is on the players who successfully rank in our top 50 in attendance by the end of the year. We even honor these players at our December Awards Ceremony with a special prize.

To eliminate surprises...

We wish to eliminate the "I'm already good enough" mindset. We don't settle for mediocrity, and will always strive to maximize our full potential. As fun as it might be for some to coast, this opportunity we're given in life is too large to simply bypass. It's certaily a prerequisite that you only join our program if you truly want to reach your full potential regardless of how good or bad you happen to curently be. We understand people who say striving to reach one's full potential at a sport isn't life's primary objective, but our hope is those people still allow us to create a program for those who happen to believe it is.

There are two types of players that enjoy our program - those who are behind and want to catch-up and those who are ahead and wish to strive to become the greatest. While we do prefer the prospect of the latter, we're willing to fill any empty spots with absolutely anyone who can mentally handle it. These are the two demographics we serve, although we certainly realize many will want us to also please those in the middle. We feel that because that niche is already filled by most every other program, we see that endeavor as redundant and far too basic a path to pursue. Kids do need a release, but we can't make that release too comfortable or they'll inevitably wish to remain there.

What about the kids who are just doing this for fun or just to make the varsity team, you ask? Like we just said before, 99% of the programs are built for these players specifically. So please don't be selfish. There are extremely few programs for the players that want it all, and this is one of them. When we try to please everyone, we end up pleasing no one... least of all ourselves.

And you're probably thinking it takes a special type of player to be able to handle everything we've laid out. Well, that's exactly what we're thinking as well. And that's why we're telling you now, so that we only attract those special players who wish to become the sort of people who are able to strive for their goals and dreams with all of their heart.
We're not here to please you now; we're here to please you later. Our goal isn't to win games now; it's to win scholarships later. Tough lessons will be learned by everyone, and the lessons we teach go far beyond just basketball. We'd like for you to handle both the highs and the lows, so we - at times - manufacture both. Our goal is to provide what you actually need; not what we can afford or what's comfortable for everyone involved. That's 7 days/week, year-round. To keep the price low, we pay collectively and in advance. It's all optional, but we'll always steer players towards the ideal. Preparation is huge. And we teach that. The hard way, if need be.
We love passion & energy, but we urge that you use it positively. When you're angry, either wait to speak to us or use the energy to help your kid improve. When you're truly upset, this is your opportunity to teach your kid how he or she should respond when life isn't fair to them. When a referee calls a bad call in your child's future championship game, know their behavior then will mirror your behavior now. So make sure they're not ignorantly & selfishly getting kicked out that game. Like the players, our parent need to also buy-in to make this experience great for everyone. Please do your best to trust those who've already been there, but know that we understand that it's difficult to give up 100% control.
If you can learn to take the passions of others seriously, you'll earn their devotion. If you can learn to take yourself seriously, you'll earn everything else in life.

We will hold you accountable and will always do the right thing, even if that upsets you. So show up on-time, understand there are consequences that might single kids out, and realize us allowing things to slide will only leave players unprepared for the real world. Our insistence on striving for perfection is only meant to help. It's only natural for the lower-skilled players to want to work harder to catch-up and for the higher-skilled players to want to coast, so that's why we stress attendance over performance. For it's not about what you're given in life, but about what you do with it.

To keep things simple, we have a coin-based reward system. Although the creation and upkeep of it is rather complex, all you need to know is showing up and working hard earns the coins and you can buy stuff with the coins you earn.

Our local teams are a bit more relaxed, while our elite team members must show up to games 30 minutes prior or else sit the entire first half of the game. And while local team players get equal playing time, elite team members must earn their playing time by improving and earning the coach's trust. For the elite team, it's more than just effort... We want you to know that you've truly earned every minute by patiently (yet enthusiastically) striving for your goals. Elite team, We need to run. It's good for us. But I'm willing to trade that for extreme discipline. So don't worry so much if your kid can't bring his shoes one day, no matter the peer pressure to not ever miss.

Showing up late carries some consequence so that we may keep the overall lesson in its correct perspective. Late for practice but not for championship means it doesn't matter like it should. We don't expect perfection, and we actually EXPECT you to show up late at least a few times. Don't freak out when it happens, handle the consequences, and don't let it happen too often. If you're late as a 3-5 year old, you must wait on the sideline for as many minutes as you were late. For 1st-4th graders, they must do pushups to match how many minutes late they were. 5th-8th must do five pushups per minute late. And 8th-12th must do ten pushups for every minute late.

How we operate...

Our preschool (3-5 year olds) sign-up in June, our redshirts (those wanting workouts and no games) may sign-up in July. August is for our annual members, and September is for our Elite team. There are opportunities at the midway point of the year to take the place of anyone who's left, and we contact our email distribution list first to fill these spots. When the opportunity presents itself, players may also upgrade to a more extensive membership level.

We avoid the normal year-round registration process to respect our current customers. Most programs will perpetually attempt to add more talented players and will try to fatten their wallets throughout the year, but our focus is more fully on those within our program.
The price for our various levels are each on an automatic recurring basis so that we're able to focus on our members rather than constantly trying to recruit clients. For the 3-6 year olds, it's $500 a year. If you'd like to just practice and not play, it's $1,000/yr. To play games as well, it's $1,500/yr. And it's $2,000/yr to play for our elite travel team. Twice a year, players will have a chance to upgrade if there are spots available.
We use books provided by Limitless Hoops for all drills, life lessons, & challenges distributed at the perfect pace. It's basically a treasure map to the NBA, except that the treasure is on Mount Everest. We'll follow the roadmap to the highest mountain, even if it's impossible. It's a long road, though, so have patience. Know that the best players now will rarely be the best players later. In the race towards a million dollars, the pennies on the ground along the way are more like hurdles than they are incentive. The need for instant gratification is a plague upon humanity, and we wish to avoid this. At our most basic level, we work hard to obtain skill. At a higher leevl, we strive to thoroughly teach you the game in a methodic fashion. At our best, however, our players learn to work ridiculously hard while learning the intricate details. Step by step, we climb that mountain until you can go no more.
Our program not only has summer camps, but we have monthly clinics and combines that run on the first non-holiday Saturday of each month. We have 3 different camp weeks for different age levels where our players have tons of fun playing, learning the game, and putting in work through a bevvy of drills. Our monthly clinics are centered around one of six basketball facets that we learn in ridiculous depth. And our Agility & Ability combines measure each player's vertical jump, speed, shooting prowess, and much more to provide a score they can use to measure themselves against other teammates and against their own past efforts.

The differences that define us

People say we offer too much & inspire players to do it all. Those aren't bad things. All we offer is extremely complex, but it's perfect to keep players' minds occupied over a decade. "Ball is life" is a literal term for many players in this world, so we must at least pretend it is for us as well if we are to keep pace. Not that we think you should actually believe that, but just so you know what you're up against so that you may properly compete. I thought all I had to do was open the gym. But that's not how people work. To make those small changes, you must change the culture in which they reside. So this program is my attempt to change that culture. So that it's not just about what kids either have or what they don't. see market page for fiscal statutes
Know that the road to greatness is a lonely road. So if you mentally need other friends or other great players to join you, invite them in and then work your hardest to convince them that they should work their hardest before they convince you to go at a lesser pace instead. We focus on and maximize the improvement of our players over money, showcasing, and winning. We understand the paradox of why teams need to do the other things, but we feel that improvement is the one thing you can't manufacture with a shortcut and we wish to maximize that one thing to the best of our ability. We're not here to collect talent to show it off. We're here to create talent and perfect talent so that players reach their true potential. There's a huge difference in a modeling agency and a fitness gym, and we aren't a modeling agency. So put down the mirror and get to work! Our goal is not to ditch you for better players. If you initially make the team and continue to show more than the others, you remain in. It's our job to train you and make you the best you can possibility become, so stop being distracted by anything other than that one thing... IMPROVE!
We'd love for you not only to join us for our quarterly fundraisers to discuss the path of the program, to raise essential funds, and to have a little fun; we'd like for you to also join us around town throughout the year in engaging with the various businesses that allow us to thrive. We also accept physical items from local businesses as donations to sell at these events to assist with our fundraising effort.

We go to movies together, eat as a group, join the same fitness clubs, and do so much more to strengthen the bonds of our community in positive ways that also improve us as human beings.

Another great social activity we have are our daily livestreams designed to give players the opportunity to go over the next day's itinerary in an interactive way. They can mingle, ask questions, and they even have a chance to answer trivia questions and win coins. For players who've purchased uor curriculum, this is an invaluable tool to improve.
Everything is optional, and only the elite team has any consequences whatsoever about missing events or showing up late. Players should still show up to everything whether the circumstances are perfect or not, but we feel the consequences of not improving as fast as the others are sufficient enough. We do, however, wish to have a program full of people who explicitly are striving to become Division 1 college athletes... so we will eventually try our best to naturally weed out any players who are showing up at a pace towards the bottom of our pack. So - rule of thumb - is that players should make sure they show up as often as the others on their team and at least try to show up even more often. As extra incentive, the annual top 50 in attendance have guaranteed spots for following year.

How we interact...

We try our best to not be negative. We ask the players how they wish to be spoken to, and they tell us with their actions. Good players are motivated by negative, great players are motivated by positive, amazing players motivate themselves, but legends motivate others. So we give them an opportunity to motivate others, but we realize that it's rare to have the audacity to speak out loud to insipre others. Then we allow them time to motivate themselves, but we understand that very few players have that in them. After that, we try positively pushing them to exit their comfort zone and hope they're like some of the best and are able to push themselves with that positivity. But most kids still won't work 100% until the fourth step, which is us pushing them by raising our voices to light that fire. After this step, our next line of action is to stop the negative and treat them indifferently as we're unwilling to get too negative with anyone. We repeat this process on a daily basis, so every player has an opportunity to improve in this regard until they're one day able to inspire others.
Communication is key, and the more everyone is aware of all the various pieces, the better we all understand the goals and motivations that go into each decision made throughout the year. We urge parents to attended so they know, or we urge them to just trust us. You can't have it both ways. So please follow our Twitter, read our emails, and email us if you have any questions. Also, talk to us the day after a game if you're frustrated instead of while you're still angry. This is about the betterment of each kid, and we hope everyone else can work their hardest to keep it that way.
We expect each player to make mistakes. That's how people improve. We also expect you to completely buy into the team's philosophy and goals. Struggling is not optional; it is essential. We constantly and enthusiastically reach for things beyond our grasp so that we may eventually understand the perils of instant gratification as well as the benefits of having a high level of impulse control. The reality of the situation is that it takes 5 hours per day to become a pro. Mom calling you in for dinner upset that you're out there again past dark. The best get away with two to three hours per day.

We can provide everything top players get in a more efficient fashion, but it's best to use the tutor as a supplement to school rather than as the replacement. So we expect you to work with us a lot, and then to also work by yourself. And then we expect that you'll become amazingly good fairly easy. So beware... You will become so much better, and you will become sought after by every top team in the area. We heavily recommend that you don't cash out your chips too early... as improving should be your primary goal until at least your Junior year in high school.

As for daily expectations, we expect players to either follow along with our curriculum and/or follow along with our daily YouTube livestream. A simple way we keep track of that is to quiz the players on what the quote of the day is. The quote is 1 word on Sundays, 2 for Mondays, all the way to 7-word quotes for Saturdays. Elementary players who don't know the quote must do pushups for every word, middle school players who don't know must do twice as many, and high school players who don't know the quote must do three times the pushups.
Customer relations is very important to us. Each family will be assigned a contact within our organization that you will most likely gel with. They'll contact you every month or so, but you may also email, text, or call us any time of day and we will most likely get back to you within minutes unless we are in the middle of a workout, practice, or game.
